CheekyMoto is a Malaysia-based motorcycle media brand built on curiosity, grit, and a very healthy obsession with two wheels. I cover racing, culture, travel, and the people who make motorcycling what it is — raw, real, and endlessly inspiring.

CheekyMoto Sdn Bhd was founded by me, Richard — a British-born photographer now based in Malaysia who somehow took the scenic route here via England, Indonesia, Thailand and South Africa. I’ve worked in photojournalism for most of my life, but motorcycles have always been the thing that made the world feel brighter. And yes, the name CheekyMoto is exactly what it sounds like: I’m cheeky, and I love motorbikes. Simple

Motorcycles are my language. I love the sound, the smell, the aesthetic — the whole atmosphere that surrounds them. I love the community, the camaraderie, the late-night paddock war stories, and the friendships that form naturally when you spend enough time around bikes, racetracks, and good people. I love the travel, the adventure, the chaos, the freedom, and that indescribable feeling when a bike suddenly makes the world click into place.. If you know, you know.

When I’m not shooting races or disappearing down Malaysian backroads, I’m at home with my wife and our eleven adopted cats. I’m also a member of The British Press Photographers’ Association, which keeps me grounded and reminds me where I came from.

In 2025 and beyond, CheekyMoto will be focusing on:

• Moto travel & adventure — exploring Malaysia and beyond on two wheels

• Photojournalism — presenting motorcycle life the way it actually feels

This isn’t just a gallery or a blog. It’s a growing platform dedicated to Malaysian motorsport, regional racing, and the wider moto community that gives this world its heartbeat.

2025 was a massive year for CheekyMoto. In 2026 we are shooting more races, documenting more stories, travelling further, and building something that reflects the real soul of motorcycling — not the polished advertising version, but the human, dusty, sweaty, brilliant truth of it.
